Pilon works with buyers by providing more time to pay off their balances and assisting their suppliers to obtain immediate access to their owed payment. From automating transactions to tracking of approved invoices, Pilon enables both parties to obtain strategic cash flow to better their operations through technology.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Singapore, Pilon also collaborates with banks and financial institutions in the Southeast Asia region that would like to digitalise their factoring processes.

Eddie Lee

Co-Founder and CEO

A repeat tech founder, Eddie started his tech agency in 1998 and sold it off in 2014.

Well versed in technology, he then co-founded a peer to peer lending platform (Fintech) and grew it to be Singapore’s leading marketplace lending platform licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and holds a full Capital Market Service License.

Across Asia Pacific, the crowdlending platform has funded over USD 2 billion to businesses since 2017. Eddie then successfully exited the business in 2019 to deepen his fintech interest with financial expert, Alex Chua through Pilon where they design the money flow in supply chain financing using technology.

Eddie is also the former Vice President of the Singapore Fintech Association (2017-2021) and co-setup the Cambodia Fintech Association and served as the Vice President (2018 – 2020).

Alex Chua

Co-Founder

Alex started his career in JP Morgan as Head of Equity Derivatives Retail Structured Products Distribution S.E.A from 2005 to 2012.

His client portfolios included private and wealth banking institutions and corporates across Greater China and South East Asia.

Drawing on his extensive corporate finance and regional experience to address the challenges of a fast-changing, ever-evolving business landscape, Alex established Goldbell Financial Services in 2015 to meet the funding needs of the Group’s SME clients and to further support their accelerating business growth by providing them with new and innovative financial solutions.

Alex is also the CEO of Goldbell Financial Services, a subsidiary of Goldbell Group, Singapore’s market leader in distribution and leasing of commercial vehicles. Alex is also the winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the year 2021 (Financial Services).

Jojo Malolos

Advisor

Jojo is Co-Founder and Chairman of GoTyme, the Gokongwei and Tyme Digital Bank.

He is also Chief Executive Officer of the JG Digital Equity Ventures Inc (JGDEV), and concurrently serves as CEO of the Data Analytics Ventures Inc (DAVI).

He was formerly Chief Executive Officer of Wing, Cambodia’s largest remittance network and leading mobile banking service provider. He is an experienced mobile money and mobile payments chief executive and brings with him extensive Mobile and Digital Financial Services (DFS) experience in emerging markets including the Philippines, Latin America and Africa. He has led pioneering mobile money companies in developing markets, helping to empower both the banked and the unbanked in the ASEAN region.

Jojo has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Philippines.

Tan Chun Hao

Head of Product & Advisor

More than 12 years of corporate sales experience with the latest 5 years of trail blazing in the fintech  industry, transforming traditional financing companies and launching new products through technology.

Currently executive committee member of the Singapore Fintech Association, Chun Hao also holds a Bachelor in Engineering from National University of Singapore

Joaquin Malolos

Head of Partnerships

Joaquin holds an MBA degree from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom and has experience working at an associate level in the financial services sector in London and in Singapore. 

His experience provided him exposure to multi-billion dollar companies where his roles focused on a deal structuring and client management level.

Ha Le Thang (Thomas)

Country Head, Strategic Partnership (Vietnam)

Thomas, with over 13 years of expertise in banking and financial services, specializes in driving business growth and market expansion. Prior to joining Pilon, he led transformative initiatives and formulated strategic plans as Head of Direct Business Banking at UOB Vietnam and Head of Product Strategy at Tiki Financial Products. With experience in navigating dynamic business landscapes, Thomas looks at advancing Pilon’s network and fostering strategic partnerships in Vietnam.
 
Thomas studied Bachelor of Business Administration in Vietnam Foreign Trade University, and received extensive training under the UOB-FTU Banker Executive program.

Aslina B

Product Manager

Worked in the banking sector as a cash analyst for over 10 years. 

Communicating with clients and project management and has been her strong suit and has delivered many Enterprise Resource Planing software for her clients.

Ryan M

Chief Developer

More than 15 years of web development experiences. Former software architect for Peer To Peer Lending platform in Singapore, SeedIn.

Prior to his stint at SeedIn, Ryan holds the position of Software Director for software development agency. Ryan, who holds a degree in Computer Engineering

Lead Developer

More than 15 years of experience in  the IT Industry specifically in Software development and Cyber security, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Secured Developer form WhiteHat Security and a Blockchain Foundation Developer.

Previously, Dennis works in the Philippines in firms as a Software Engineer and a Security Application Architect. 

Bernadette Magat

Front End / Mobile Developer

Bernadette is a software developer specializing both in web and mobile applications.

With a strong background in computer science and 7 years of experience, she takes pride in having successfully built and deployed scalable and user-friendly applications that are valuable not only to the private sectors but also to the non-profit foundations and organizations under the health sector.

She is well-versed in various programming languages and frameworks such as Angular, React Native, PHP and C#.

In her spare time, she enjoys going out with her dogs in the park.

Cheryll Yong

Financial Operations Manager

More than 15 years of corporate services and office administration experience across various industries. Prior to joining Pilon, Cheryll had worked in the professional service, aviation, sports & leisure, entertainment, estate management, education and construction industries.

Cheryll holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business majoring in Professional Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology and is a firm believer of lifelong learning.

Ishmael Valera

Relationship Manager – Philippines

Ishmael has 8+ years of experience working in Customer Service and Customer Success for retail, fintech, and advertising companies. He leverages his background in customer-facing roles to be able to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

Ishmael also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University.

Sherina Lorenzo

“Sherina is a highly experienced Finance professional with a background in Operations and Marketing, bringing 5 years of leadership experience, predominantly gained in a Multinational Insurance company, to her current role as Relationships Manager at PILON PTE LTD.

Throughout her career, she has led successful initiatives and teams resulting in increased efficiency, improved decision-making processes, and successful project transitions. Sherina is skilled in managing client relationships and providing tailored financial solutions, which have been instrumental in achieving business objectives.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Sherina is an active member of the Rotary community, serving as the President for the Rotaract Club of Santa Maria for Rotary Year 2023-2024. She leads impactful community service and professional development initiatives, while also being a proficient Social Media Marketing freelancer. She leverages her expertise to assist clients in establishing a strong online presence and effectively reaching their target audience.

Sherina holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from the University of Santo Tomas and is committed to utilizing her skills and experience to contribute to the success of PILON and drive positive outcomes for clients.”

Sreyleak has worked for more than 14 years in the National Bank of Cambodia (also known as the central bank of Cambodia) as  a senior economist.

Graduated from Nagoya University with PhD in International Development and posses a master degrees in Economics from University of New South Wales (UNSW)

Rithy holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) and is currently pursuing a dual Master Degree in International Business Law and Land Law and Real Estate at the Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE).
